Starting to knit?

Not sure what you mean - I'm also a lefty, and I generally have made a point of buying books with lefty instructions. Otherwise, you tend to overthink it and get really screwed up. If I understand your question, I vote 'REVERSE'. Good luck - I know it's hard. I've always used aluminum needles and hooks, for knitting as well as crocheting.
