What is the procedure for handeling a skid?

OK got a laugh at talon, probably because I handle skids at work and can totally see the point to that(although some call them pallets). Seriously though you take your foot off the gas and steer in to the skid. That is all you need to do, you will regain control and then you can hit the brake or gas.
