How do I handle this guy?

I have been seeing the same guy for three months. We have just recently brought into the equation. It is AWESOME haha! No problems there. BUT...the one problem is that he doesn't want to put any effort into the relationship. He has no problem waiting hours to text me back..or acting like he doesn't care if I see other guys. The thing is...I know he is into me. He just wants me to be the one doing all the chasing and whatnot. However, I am the same way and I expect to be chased as well lol. I know the word "chased" sounds bad...I just can't come up with a synonym right now. Anyways, any ideas on how to handle him? I have tried talking about it with him but he isn't a big talker. He hasn't really done anything that wrong so I always end up giving in and just moving on. I know he really cares about me and I feel the same way about him...but if I don't start feeling appreciated soon..I might not make it much longer! Any ideas would help a lot!
