How do I cite cl notes in an essay?

I am writing a 12 page research paper for a University level English course, and I am wondering how to cite my cl notes. I've hear that there is a "proper" way to do it, but right now I'm just guessing. It would be great to know the correct way. The format for my essay is MLA, but if you only know other formats, that's great too - Thanks!
