How can I convince my Dad to let me transfer from Private High School to Public High School?

Here is the thing. I go to a small private school. I hate it and I hate the kids there and they have no focus on athletics. I want to transfer to my local Public school. has 2000 kids (as opposed to 500 in a school 3rd to 12th grade). My dad went to the Private school I go to and thinks its really good, but I would be much happier at the public school , and I would definitely work hard on academics. How can I convince my dad to let me transfer to the public school for 11th grade?
