I am sick and want to know if this is safe, Pharmacists?

past 2 days I've woken up with an extremely sore throat, today I took two 325mg Bayer Aspirin at 7:30am. It is now 10am, though it doesnt hurt as much I am still coughing and congested, is it safe to take Mucinex DM(30mg Dextromethorphan HBr, 600mg Guaifenesin)?
