Furnace Blower Speed?

We heat with an outdoor wood boiler so the only thing we use on our furnace is the blower which i would like to have running in low speed but i think the control board on the furnace is broke so my question is: If the control board is broke will that not allow me to change the speed of the blower? or is there a way to change it even if the control board is bad? Thanks for any help
